Q and A about Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT)
Updated: Jul 1, 2019
Q -Is AAT equally effective treating symptoms of Allergies, Sensitivities, and Intolerances?
A -Terms must be defined to understand limits and potential relief that can result from AAT.
Allergy is an over-response in an organ system(s) involving IgE antibodies to a harmful substance resulting in unwanted symptoms.
Sensitivity is an over-response in an organism not involving the antibody but also resulting in unwanted symptoms.
Intolerance is a lack of a certain substance; for example not having enough of the enzyme lactase to digest the milk sugar Lactose.
AAT does not treat the immune system and cannot replace missing bio-substances. What AAT can do is strengthen organ systems involved in over-responses so the body responds more appropriately to former triggers.
Q -Can Life-threatening allergies be treated with AAT?
A -No, symptoms of over-response must remain manageable by the patient, strict avoidance of life-threatening triggers is our policy.
